Matariki units on nzmaths

Matariki units on nzmaths

New cross curricular units that explore a variety of mathematics ideas in the context of Matariki are available from nzmaths.

The units support learning at level 2level 3, and level 4

The sessions in each of these units can be run as individual activities, and most of them could be adjusted to suit different curriculum levels.

Ngā Hangarau Matihiko i ngā Kura Ara Reo Māori | Māori-medium ICT Research Report 2016: Digital Technologies

In March 2016 a survey was conducted for the Ministry of Education on how Māori-medium kura are using digital technologies. The survey was delivered during terms 2 and 3 of the 2016 school year.

The findings are described in this report in relation to the key areas of inquiry in the survey: school-wide strategies, access, use, usefulness, impact, barriers, te reo Māori, and communication.

Digital technologies for learning: Findings from NZCER national survey of primary & intermediate schools 2016

This report draws on data from the NZCER National Survey of Primary and Intermediate Schools, conducted in late August and early September 2016.

The report looks at the role of digital technologies for learning in primary and intermediate schools.

The survey asked how digital technology is being used, how it could be used, and what it means for teaching and learning.

The survey got responses from principals, teachers, trustees, parents and whānau.

Digital technologies for learning infographic illustrates some of the key findings.
